A recent news article inaccurately reported that the budget hearing would take place in Conference Room B at the high school. The budget hearing, tax request hearing, and regular board meeting will all be held in the Junior High Boardroom, as posted in our legal notices.
McCook's FFA's Dairy Evaluation and Management Team earned first place at the State Contest held on August 31st. Team members include Cason Waugh, Spencer Snyder, Braceton Hauxwell and Taylor Ruggles. The team now gets to compete at the National FFA Convention in October.

High school activites really kick into action this week. We have softball playing in town on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Volleyball on Thursday, girls golf on Friday, and boys tennis on Saturday. We hope to see you at our events supporting the Bison!

McCook Senior High will have our open house from 6:30-7:00 Monday, August 19th. Please come and visit briefly with any of your students teachers that you would like to. Hope to see you there!

Attention 6th grade parents and families with 7th and 8th graders new to the district... Junior High Orientation is being held Wednesday and Thursday this week! Please join us in the cafeteria at the southeast corner of the building. A-E at 9:00, F-M at 10:30 Wednesday morning, N-Z at 9:00 and new 7th/8th graders at 10:30 on Thursday. See you soon!

Starting next week we will do our registration days. Monday is for Seniors, Tuesday for Juniors, Wednesday for Sophomores, and Thursday for Freshmen. The office will be open from 7:00 am until 2:00 pm, and then from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm.
